Rocket '88 to the Iowa State Fair was a day trip (out and back) by train from Rock Island and Iowa City to Des Moines, IA, to go to the Iowa State Fair. The trip was organized by the 20th Century Railroad Club out of Chicago for August 20-21, 1988. Due to various factors, most notably the incredible lateness of the runs, it was never repeated.
