Looking west from Blue Island, the signals have begun to be replaced; they put a bag over the head of that cool little dwarf! By: Andy Brown

This is the operation at Ozinga that Ron mentioned a little while back. They're loading Iowa soybeans into containers here; unfortunately it was deader'n a doornail both days I was there so no good action shots and no one to talk to about the operation. Seems like they might be a little overpowered with that big V-8 Cat generator! I'm guessing they must build a temporary bulkhead in the container door and back it up around the belt, then pull ahead as the container fills with beans. By: Andy Brown

Outbound Metra approaches the old RI searchlights at Robbins, looking west from 139th St. By: Andy Brown

Looking east towards BI from 139th St., 503 has been turned and is coming off of track 9 onto the main at Robbins/Broadway/139th- I'm not sure what all the CPs are called up there. By: Andy Brown

Waiting for a signal to back up to BI. By: Andy Brown

BI tower lined 'em up with a flashing yellow (approach medium?) but I couldn't quite get the timing right to get the signal when it was fully lit. By: Andy Brown

I've showed this building before but it was a topic of discussion recently on the RITS list; this is the south end. By: Andy Brown

Metra Electric Blue Island branch; a cool operation! By: Andy Brown

Looking south from 127th St.; not much going on at Burr Oak today. By: Andy Brown

Snooping around Burr Oak yard I got a halfway decent shot of this old converted troop sleeper. By: Andy Brown

And this gem was coupled next to it. By: Andy Brown

Another RI relic; I've seen photos of this building in RI days but forget what it was. An old icehouse maybe? By: Andy Brown
