Looking east at the west end of West Lib. siding in CTC days, November 24, 1973. The cement relay hut is still there today, pushed off into the ditch at approximately the same location as what is now the west switch of the ECI ramp. At one time double track extended all the way to the Iowa River bridge in Iowa City; in the 1950s the eastbound main was removed up to this point. Later still the diamond in front of the West Lib. depot was single tracked, making this a siding; the east switch was immediately west of the diamond directly in front of the WL depot.
