As far as my first attempt at daylight westbound this year, this is it... Iowa 157 and a pair of GE's didn't take BICB west until after sunset, and I had to settle for a shot of Metra... 03-31-10 By: Chris Lastovich

Iowa 712 and 506 head light power off the Harbor toward Bur Oak Yd. They would later lead a BIRI type train behind the usual BICB. Also, check out the signal work Metra is doing, one by one they are replacing the Rock Island searchlights... 04-11-10 By: Chris Lastovich

Holding at McDonough St. in Rockdale, there is no CSXT bridge tender to lower Bridge 407, so with a recrew on board, they are forced to sit and wait it out... 04-13-10 By: Chris Lastovich

I wasn't really in the mood to stick around and wait for either train but I grabbed the usual quickie shot at Burr Oak Yd... Iowa 156 all by her lonesome sits with BICB while 506, also solo blast, sits with an empty ethanol train. 04-13-10 By: Chris Lastovich

BICB thunders through Oak Forest with 154 and 509 leading over 100 cars of manifest. Not quite enough sunlight left to make Oak Forest. I'll back track to Midlothian next time. 04-15-10 By: Chris Lastovich

Sister units 508 and 509 double team a short 60 car BICB through the dicey shadows at Midlothian. 04-16-10 By: Chris Lastovich

Iowa 507 is running solo this evening with BICB 17. The train departed 30 minutes earlier then usual so I set up for a slightly different shot at Oak Forest... too bad the shadows ruined that idea. The train was a whopping 119 cars long, and with only 1 GEVO for power, these guys didn't have a prayers chance of even making the 30 mph track speed on Metra territory. 04-17-10 By: Chris Lastovich
