My Iowa 483 started as a P2K Phase II RI GP9 w/o dyno's that I stripped. I chopped that nose and filled in the headlight and numberboards, and used C&P parts for the windshield, new numberboards, and Paducah battery boxes. I modified the side skirts to replicate a Paducah rebuild, and added a air filter and side mount bell per the prototype. Most of everything else was text book detail work. I believe the coupler cut levers came from my parts bin with extensions made from wire. The only thing left to do is to add a speed recorder to the right front truck frame and add another "grab iron" type fixture to the right front of the pilot to restrain the air hoses. For whatever reason this unit only had one on the right side in the front, but both sides in the rear.
