Fascia boards have been installed on my Grimes Line layout. The fascia will be cut, contoured and graded once the track locations are roughed in. By: James McNab

The fascia is a consistent distance above the floor and has a 1 inch lip above the top of the foam roadbed to give enough material to provide scenic variation. The boards will be trimmed out at each corner and along the bottom edge. By: James McNab

DCC electronics are being installed at the staging/fiddle yard. Extra rolling stock will be stored on shelves above for easy rotation on and off the layout. The paneling behind the yard will be painted the same color as the fascia instead of the blue used on the backdrop to further emphasize its "off-layout" purpose. By: James McNab

The EasyDCC Command Station is mounted on a hand-built shelf under the staging/fiddle yard using 8 inch drawer slides. By: James McNab

The taller fascia is to cover the I-35/80 and Highway 141 overpasses in the corner of the Grimes Peninsula. The extra length is not needed for the overpasses, but was kept so that the joint between fascia boards did not fall on the curve. By: James McNab

The track plan has been printed out full-size to transfer to the roadbed and as a final check of clearances and spacial relations. By: James McNab
