• 481 was the last 400-series unit on the IAIS roster, sitting around Council Bluffs until 4 Dec 2009.
• On 4 Dec 2009, 481 was shipped out on CBBI-04 to be sent to Relco in Albia, IA, for conversion to a slug similar to the IAIS 466 to IAIS 650 conversion. The new slug is numbered IAIS 651, and IAIS 721 serves as its mother unit.
