• Like all of IAIS's ES44ACs, 500 was built to CSX's ES44AH "heavy" specification at 432,000 lbs, and includes the high traction software modifications.
• 500 left the GE plant at Erie, PA, around Friday, 26 Sep 2008. It arrived at Mid-America Car in Kansas City around 11 Oct 2008, and left in full paint on 16 Nov 2008. It arrived on IAIS via the IC&E at Davenport and was placed in service on 20 Nov 2008.
